I know that it has been a while since my last blog. I have had some family illnesses that I have had to tend to but praise the Lord they had a full recovery.
Today I was impressed to share with you Ps. 34:18 The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit.
Now first of all what is a contrite spirit? Contrite is feeling remorseful, sorry, apologetic: shameful or guilt ridden over something or somethings that you have done. The bible tells us that if we confess our sin HE is faithful and just to forgive us and cast our sin into the deepest part of the ocean. So therefore if we have asked for forgiveness and we have a contrite spirit HIS word says He will save us. Save us from what? Our broken hearts.
We have all had our hearts broken at some point in our lives. It does not matter whom or what caused the brokenness. What matters is how we choose to repair it. I have found that nothing can repair my brokenness like Jesus. I have tried drugs, alcohol, men and many other self soothing techniques but could never find the healing that I needed to take away the hurt and pain that I felt inside of me. Until I found Jesus!!
When Jesus became the lover of my soul I realized that nothing nor no one could make me feel the way HE did. HE came in and healed my brokenness and saved me from a life of destruction. Now I know that I am a child of the most high KING and that HE knows the plans for my life. Plans to prosper me and not to harm me, Plans for good in my life. I'm not saying that nothing bad will ever happen to me again but what I am saying is that He will help me through whatever I face in life and give me the strength and wisdom that I need to overcome every obstacle I face.
In PS. 34: 1 It says I will bless the Lord at all times; HIS praise shall continually be in my mouth. That's what we need to be doing praising HIM continually no matter what we are facing. That's how we will receive HIS peace, joy , happiness in our life in our situations. Verse 4 says I sought the Lord, and HE heard me and delivered me from all my fears. I believe that this is the key to victory in a believers life. I SOUGHT THE LORD, I looked for. Most of the time we as human beings tend to look for something tangible, something that we can touch, taste or see. But if we seek the Lord with all of our hearts all of mind and all of our soul we will find the HE is all we need.
PS. 34:8 Taste and see that the Lord is good, Blessed is the man who trust in HIM!
Are you broken today? Do you need healing in your heart, soul, mind? Let me ask you this what or whom are you seeking? Where on this earth can you find the peace that you have been looking for? You've tried everything and nothing seems to be taking away the pain or healing the scares of life. I ask you today to give Jesus a try HE will not let you down.
Jesus I pray today that whom ever is reading this would feel your presence your peace your love and your joy deep down in their soul and would learn to seek you and allow you to become the lover of their soul. In the name of Jesus I pray Amen.
