Sometimes in life we come to a place where we need to make some chooses. What will be your next step, what will be your next job, where will I go from here. Life is always evolving, changing. As people we grow and change all the time. Sometimes we even grow out of relationships or friends. This is not necessarily a bad thing. People are put in our lives for a reason or season. When someone is put into our life for a season its because we need to learn something from this person. Once we have learned what we are suppose to learn from that person they usually move on and we don't stay in contact with them anymore or have very minimal contact.
On the other hand there are those people that are put into our life for reason and they usually stay for the duration of your life. Could be your friend or your spouse. I chose to call these people your ride or die partners. They will be there for you no matter what, in the good, the bad and the ugly times. They never judge you or want to change you they except you just the way you are.
God is a ride or die partner. He will never leave you nor forsake you. He does not force anything on you and only expects you to grow at your own pace. He will hold your hand and guide you through any situation. Never condemning or putting you down for the mistakes that you make. He know's that you are not perfect and that you are going to make some wrong chooses in life. He is always willing to forgive you and say come on let's try this again. He is the ultimate ride or die partner. People will always let you down but God never will.
Now concerning the chooses or decisions that we need to make in life, God will give you the guidance that you need if you ask Him. ( Isaiah 28:29 ) This also comes from the Lord of hosts, who is wonderful in counsel and excellent in guidance. There are three answers that you will get from the Lord 1) yes 2) no 3) wait. We all love to hear the yes answer because we are getting exactly what we want. We never want to hear the no answer because we want what we want, but God know's what's best for us and if He is saying no then it's because whatever it is that we are asking for is not necessarily going to be good for us and can potentially be harmful for us. On the other hand the wait answer is very difficult to handle because we want thing now, in this generation we have no patients for anything. ( Isaiah 40:31 ) But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wing like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.
There have been times in my life that I received the wait answer. I didn't like it and would sometimes try to do thing's my own way going ahead of what God's plan was for my life. All this did was prolong my wait time. God's plan will always prevail no matter what. We can choose to do thing's our own way and go around the same mountain over and over again never learning or growing from our mistakes or we can surrender to His will and let Him gently counsel or guide us though whatever situation we may be facing in life. I can tell you through experience that it is better to surrender to His will and allow Him to counsel and guide you through than to choose to do things your own way and end up right back where you started from.
About seventeen years ago the Lord put somethings in my heart to do and I choose to do things my own way. Now God allowed me to walk out the path that I wanted to and even blessed me along the way. I had to go through some very difficult situations that I may have been able to avoid had I just waited on God to bring things to pass. Never the less God is faithful and protected me through everything I had to go through, Ultimately I have ended up doing exactly what He wanted me to do seventeen years ago and I am totally happy. I had to give up a relationship that I though I could never live without. But come to find out the relationship was not good for me because it was causing me harm and hindering me from doing what God had called me to do.
My prayer for you today is that you would surrender to Gods plan for your life. Allowing him to counsel and guide you through every step of the way. Learning and grown in the knowledge of Christ.
Sincerely:
Tina
